Meet The Team

At Faded Mist, craftsmanship, precision, and product knowledge are at the core of everything we do.
Founded by Scott Clibbens, Faded Mist was built from a simple idea: to take pride in doing things properly. With a background in decorating and a passion for detail, Scott saw a gap in the market for a higher standard of kitchen respray — one that didn’t cut corners, didn’t rely on quick fixes, and didn’t compromise on durability.
We’re proud to be a family-run business, with Scott heading up operations and overseeing every project from start to finish, while Lauren runs the office — taking care of enquiries, quoting, scheduling, and keeping everything organised behind the scenes. Between work and workshop life, we’re also raising our daughter Elsie, who keeps us just as busy!
Since day one, the focus has been on quality — from the materials we use to the environment we work in. Our workshop in Leeds has been designed around our systems, creating the right space to achieve the level of finish we’re known for today.
We specialise in high-end kitchen resprays, fitted furniture spraying, and specialist finishes including spray granite for worktops, liquid metal, and spray stone. We remove all doors and panels for workshop spraying, and spray carcasses on-site with the same level of care — ensuring a durable, seamless finish throughout.
Every element of our process is considered. Whether it’s refining drying times, tweaking spray settings, or preparing a surface to perfection — nothing is rushed, and nothing is left to chance.
We believe the best results come from a combination of:
-
High-performance products
-
Tried-and-tested systems
-
A commitment to doing things properly — not quickly
That same level of care is what we bring to every project — whether we’re spraying a single piece of furniture or transforming an entire kitchen.

Scott Clibbens
Founder & Head of Operations

Scott is the hands-on perfectionist behind every Faded Mist transformation. From prepping each panel to applying the final coat, he oversees every stage of the process to ensure our renowned high-end finish. He’s also the one fine-tuning systems, refining techniques, and making sure every job meets his exacting standards.
Fun fact: Scott has an unshakable love for a perfectly finished surface — down to the smallest detail.
Outside the workshop, he enjoys going to the gym, running, and spending time with Elsie.
Lauren
Office Manager & Customer Care

Lauren is the friendly, organised voice behind every email and message. She handles enquiries, quotes, scheduling, and project timelines — making sure customers are well informed and looked after every step of the way.
Fun fact: Lauren runs on strong coffee and good conversation.
When she’s not in the office, she enjoys family life with Elsie and planning the next holiday.
Paul
Decorator

Paul looks after the traditional decorating side of the business — from redecorating rooms after a kitchen respray to standalone painting and wallpapering projects. His attention to detail ensures every space is finished beautifully.
Fun fact: Paul is known for singing while he works — so your decorating job may come with a live soundtrack.
Why We Do What We Do
We all take pride in seeing a space completely transformed — and in knowing our customers will enjoy the results for years to come. For us, it’s not just about spraying or decorating — it’s about creating a finish that feels right from the moment you walk into the room.
A Family Business
Faded Mist is more than a business for us — it’s something we’ve built together. Whether you’re having your kitchen resprayed, fitted furniture transformed, or a decorating project completed, you’ll always deal directly with our small, dedicated team.
From the first message with Lauren, to seeing Scott or Paul working in your home, you’ll always know exactly who you’re dealing with — no faceless handovers, no call centres.
We take real pride in treating every customer like part of the family — because, for us, it’s personal.
